Los Angeles agency seeks volunteers for 2019 census on homeless population

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority will host a job fair on Jan. 17 at the Thomas G. Larkin Fitness and Welness Center.

The agency, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is seeking 8,000 volunteers to participate in an annual census of homeless population of more than 80 cities and 200 communities in Los Angeles County.

Positions sought after by employers include case managers, outreach workers and executives. Other services like resume reviewing and interview preparation will also be available at the event.
